Our Street During the Pandemic

Dear George,
The bustling night life is one of our pleasures in living next door to the Ludlow Avenue business district.  Arlin’s Bar is always full of patrons, crowds are coming and going at the Esquire Theater, people are getting ice cream cones at Graeters, late shoppers are at the Clifton Market, and the street’s many restaurants are thriving.  Now, with the city and state under stay at home orders, Ludlow looks like a scene out of one of those apocalypse movies where there’s only one human left on earth.  I walk the dogs there every night, but always with a sense of isolation, loss of community, and vulnerability.  Perhaps from fantasized muggers, perhaps from deadly germs in the air.  Taking some night photos helped my mood a bit.  Here’s how our favorite street is looking nowadays.
Love,
Dave

  1. It may be quiet now, but it looks like a really cute town to be in when it's bustling.
