Dear
George,
Among
my father's various eccentric sayings was the assertion that there's nothing
worse in life than being a "Motherless Biccus". I can't remember what a Biccus is, unless
it might refer to my sister Vicki.
In any case, being Motherless is a dire fate since there's no one in the
world that loves you in the way that your mother does. My dad was also good at compiling a
photographic record of our early family life. I don't know if my childhood was as idyllic as it appears in
these photos, but they do tap into a warm spot in my heart.
Love,
Dave
